Train for entry-level careers in the energy industry with M State Energy Careers Academy in partnership with Xcel Energy. This 8-week noncredit program will cover topics such as: gas line locating, plastic pipe joining, meter and main installation, and safety processes. Upon completion, participants will be eligible to apply for gas helper positions. Training will take place onsite at Xcel's Hugo training facility.

Training Location: Hugo, MN

Date: March 4, 2024- April 26, 2024

Prerequisites: Women and/or BIPOC communities in the 7-county metro area. Ability to pass background check to enter Xcel facilities. Driver's license and own transportation to Hugo. High school diploma or GED.
